I seem to be one of the last people to admit it, but tribe is dead for me.
I stopped reading very intently some months ago. I've recently made a fresh attempt to get back into it, but the critical mass of people, interest, and discussions that once held my interest appears to have dissipated now. I expect to withdraw almost completely over the next week or so. It's possible tribe will return, I suppose, so I'm not canceling or leaving completely, but I don't expect to blog here, I'm cutting my tribe memberships down from over 300 to about 150 now and I'm not done trimming. And I've all but stopped reading blogs here, except for one or two special friends.
I'm still blogging on livejournal and I highly recommend lj for blogging. There are some good communities there including some good bdsm scene groups and at least one excellent aspergers forum. There's also a pretty good network of local folks through friends of friends blogs that works pretty well and in ways that tribe never really did. Lj is great for keeping in touch with friends you don't see every day.
I'm also still on a ton of mailing lists all over the place, but mostly dealing with local bdsm related groups. Few of these are lively, but some are.
I occasionally cruise through collarme.com and/or bondage.com. I like okcupid.com but find it somewhat lacking in terms of bdsm scene support.
I'm "teamnoir" on all of these, so I'm easy to find. PM here or on lj will get email to me so feel free to contact me either way.
I'll probably eventually find my way into fetlife and facebook, but that might not happen for a while yet. Feel free to drop me a note and/or a friend invite either way.
In any case, it's been a good run. I'm still a fan of what has happened here and I wish tribe well. If it catches fire again, I'll certainly be back. But in the mean time, there's not much point to a social networking site that hasn't got my social groups on it.
